Very, very Happy Birthday to asta77!

I will always be grateful to you for pointing me in the direction of 'House', my only 'must-see' show at the moment! :)

So, in your honour, I will try to remember the article I read a few weeks ago about how 'House' is based on Sherlock Holmes (according to the creator).

1. Holmes = homes = house
2. Holmes' best friend is called Watson. House's best (only) friend is called Wilson.
3. Holmes was addicted to cocaine. House is addicted to vicodin.
4. Holmes was based on doctor Joseph Bell who could walk into a waiting room and diagnose patients without having to examine them. Just like House!
5. Holmes lived at 221B Baker Street. In an S2 episode we see that House lives at 221B.

It's possible that there was a #6, but it's slipped my mind. Anyway this was probably only new to me, but I thought you might enjoy it anyway. :)

Thanks! And 'House' sells itself really. I just have to badger people into tuning into the first ep. ;)

I missed the 'Holmes' references early on (I was never much of a fan) and now they seem so obvious!
