Can I ask a little favour?

Does anyone know of a VM icon with the caption 'I need a favour' (or something along those lines - seriously, if Veronica has a cathphrase, that's it!). Sadly I don't have the time to look through icon communities...

I don't think that Veronica is at all like Buffy, and neither are her relationships much like Buffy's. Although...
Duncan=Angel
Troy=Parker
Leo=Riley
Logan=Spike
Heh.
(Also I haven't seen S2 yet so please don't spoil me!)

And does this new autosave thing mean that LJ is going to stop eating posts? ::crosses fingers::

Hmm, I don't know of any offhand. I do have this one of Logan though.

I like how you can sorta match the VM characters up with BtVS ones. Besides boyfriends, I kind of see Weevil being a little like Faith and Daddy Mars is the Giles. VM is fun. Did you finish season one yet?

Weevil as Faith? I hadn't thought of that. Must ponder. And I have to say that I like Keith more than Giles (as a parent!)! Giles isn't a very good fatherfigure.

And yes we finished S1 a week or so ago. Excellent ending! :)

I don't think the relationships alike, but I find myself reacting to them much the same way I did with Buffy's relationships. And I think the key is that when you like something, it's because you see certain facets of it that speak to you. Which is why even though they're probably only 30% similar I enjoy B/S and V/L in the same way.

Eek! Not that they're exactly like those characters or anything, just that they bring about some of the same sort of feelings for me. Like Keith and Giles are sort of there to protect and support, and Faith and Weevil are there to sort of rile things up. Good season two Weevil awaits you my dear. And that is all I will say!

There are a ton of good VM icon comms out there, happy hunting!

I think the key is that when you like something, it's because you see certain facets of it that speak to you.
That's it. I kept hearing people saying that Logan was like Spike, and now I can sort of see where they are coming from, but I still think that the two of them are wonderfully different. As is B/S and V/L. And y'know - no vampires! ;)

Will check out the post. And I have been thinking of looking through all your old ones - are they in your memories?

Nah, I don't have anything except my icon posts in my memories, and now I don't even memorize those because I use tags. I have a post of my favorite VM posts by others, though: http://users.livejournal.com/_jems_/178596.html

There's a lot of fun stuff there (though some of the picspams and the like may have disappeared by now), and there's another comparison post that's even funnier than the BtVS one because it's between VM and The West Wing. You wouldn't believe how many similarities there are between two such dissimilar shows.

I haven't updated it in a while, so I think most of those posts are safe for you. I'm not sure if the TWW comparison post is spoilery, though, it was posted after season 2 started. Check out the Alpacka Hunt one, that's another good one. =)

LOL! Too true! Very much the same, and yet very different at the same time. I think I like VM just because we get a really smart chick who's sassy. I love it.

ACtually!!!! I take it all back! On Friday night, when I was trying to post something my 'net connection crashed and I'd lost all my coding. But when I re-brought up lm_fabella just now, it had auto-saved, HTML text and all. ::cries:: My life is now complete.

Season 1 just finished the day after I arrived ... so um kinda not. Though [livejournal.com profile] kittyzams said she might be able to rustle something up for me. I can't believe CC and AH are on it now!
