Can we just call him Papa Joss, because look at the loving family he created!

What's a family without Daddy issues, though?

Nathan's response with the tagline of the show ("You got a job? We'll take it. Don't care much what it is.") will forever be my favorite. xD

I kind of can't believe a *handmade* item was licensed to produce and then no one else is allowed to make them.

Hee! Thanks for the link. And it makes me want to run to the yarn store and get some yellow & orange wool...

Fox is attempting to cash in on the fact everything Whedon is gold in the public's eyes and they own the rights to most of his TV shows. They're trying to use the renewed interest in anything Whedon to their advantage. Being Fox they have no consideration for who gets stepped on in order to do so.

What they refuse to acknowledge is that Firefly fans are loud, new media savvy, extremely close knit and even the stars are prone to getting involved (and said stars are also close knit and new media savvy). They have also forgotten the whole Olympic knitting kerfuffle, where knitter showed the world they were also loud, new media savvy and (please excuse the pun) close knit. Put both groups together and what Fox intended to be a quiet squashing of the 'small business owner' is instead a media debacle they will never ever acknowledge.

Meanwhile ThinkGeek show how it should be done by admitting they screwed up, apologizing in their part of it and then trying to make it right as much as they can.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the whole thing, and just waiting for it to blow up in Fox's face even more. How long till it ends up on either The Daily Show or Colbert Report do you think?
