Oh my heart.

He's retired... And he's so lifeless. Ten had a grim determination that saw him through after Donna, but poor Eleven's just had all the life knocked out of him. And his friends try so hard.

I love the fact that he has friends though, you know? That there are people out there who care, and who try to help. (Obvious thoughts are obvious. I'm half asleep. Mostly though, it was wonderful to see him again, even though it hurt to see him so unhappy.) (THE OUTFIT! THE OUTFIT IS AMAZING!)

PLUS VASTRA AND JENNY AND STRAX! \o/ And Jenny is the Watson to Vastra's Sherlock - hi there Great Detective! (Except with more sex - Tipping the Scales, here we come!) Seriously, I could watch just those three for the whole episode. :)

Love the evil snow[men], it's inspired.

But mostly I love that Clara is a governess - there's shades of everything from Mary Poppins to Jane Eyre (although not much Bronte I should imagine... *g*)

Also the fact that the Companion (whoever she turns out to be) is not contemporary - Oswin was from the future, Clara is from the past. This is A Good Thing.

Plus there's Richard E. Grant! :D

Also, the Cherub wants the episode NOW... She is quite cross with the universe/The Powers That Be that she has to wait.
