Sometimes people fall out! (Which is why I hide in a little corner and make a point of liking everyone.) Pshhhh… I hate Internet quarrels… People may disagree, but what’s the point of fighting?
No kidding. The eldest even has her own LJ (miss_m_writes), although she mostly hangs out on Tumblr and Minecraft. Mum and daughter on the same website! That must feel odd… ;) I was going to ask if she’s into DW, but she obviously is!
NEW EPISODE TOMORROW OMG! NEXT EPISODE ON SUNDAY WHOOHOO! (Cause apparently I’m a greedy, always-impatient thing…)
I shall simply quote the man himself:
"Maybe this isn't new but it is my view: Doctor Who is a fairy tale – not sci-fi, not fantasy but properly a fairy tale. And I don't mean Disney-style where the endings are changed and everyone lives. Doctor Who is how we warn our children that there are people in the world who want to eat them." Steven Moffat I like this. Not always in practise, but in theory—definitely.
ETA: The thing is, that for me a story isn't all that interesting without layers. It wasn't until S3 of Doctor Who (when the Master showed up, and suddenly I realised that there were MIRRORS and all KINDS of delightful things happening below the surface) that I got properly interested. I can cope with any number of plot holes, as long as I have layers and metaphors. :) ^_^ metaphors are a thing of beauty.
