I'd say that LJ is most certainly older than FF.net. My flist spans everything from 20-somethings to 50+. It's POSSIBLE I have a teenager or two, but considering that my eldest is 14, well... Teenagers just register as TOO YOUNG! *g*
Haha, well I'm nineteen, so just slipping in-between teenagerness and your usual ;) Definitely, it can't feel the same when you're talking to people who might be your kids!

(Also LJ is very much about pockets of people. I'm sure there are 'young' places, but a lot of people are here because they can find a group they fit into - something different to Tumblr or similar.)
I'll take your word on that… Truthfully, I don't know much about LJ—just got started here because I kept having RiverEleven authors recommended to me and it seemed like a good place to interact with the fandom.

I'll get there...
Oh, no pressure!

Very true. Although I'd say Moffat is very good at character stuff, but as Doctor Who isn't *his* he tries to fit into the 'formula' rather than just write what he wants.
I'm always of two minds about Moffat's stuff. On the one hand, he created River Song *eloquent pause*, and Eleven, the Ponds—they all have a lot of potential. But I always have that feeling that their dynamics aren't explored as thoroughly as they might… Deep, painful things happen, and then they don't get picked up again. Then again, as you said, story & adventure take a lot of the room.

Do. Seriously. It's the best book on writing out there.
*adds to to-read list* I'm the queen of lists that never end.

Oh I know THAT feeling. Am hoping to catch some Old!Who myself, but am not sure I'll get there...
There's just SO MUCH to pick from! I started at series one like a silly thing, but now I think I'll just try different Doctors, hop around a bit…
