Wow. I hope this turns out to be true—it makes so much SENSE, I was pretty convinced by the time I made it to the ending!
*beams* (I should edit it really, to reflect later info, although I'll probably just write a follow-up...)

You really are pretty good at meta—I'd already stumbled upon some of your stuff back when I didn't have an account myself, but I definitely must look it up more thoroughly sometime.
Meta is just my thing... I can't not do it.

God, I hope they don't. Messy, bit repetitive, just… no!
Can't see it myself. There's nothing anywhere to point to River being a mother.

I'm /very/ impressed with you for a) catching such a parallel with old!Who (since I'm watched so little of it, I tend to think of people who are knowledgeable of old!Who like Whovian Plus with a fine spark of godly…)
I've not actually watched a lot of Old!Who, but I've picked up a lot of info via fannish osmosis, and try to do my best to put it to good use.

b) making all the character parallels and c) finding all the great arguments to justify those parallels.
It was magic, putting it all together. I dearly hope it's true, just because it fits so well.

That’s so Ten. In Amy, however… I wish we’d seen it put to better use. It’s like the Ponds’ grief was just… gone, until they split up, and then they miraculously got back together after one episode… Ah well, that’s a rant for another subject.
Heh. Well put. I wish more had been done, but at least Amy was... unusual in how she dealt with emotional stuff, to say the least. Doesn't mean they couldn't have done a lot more, but at least I can make it work in my head.

Phrased it so well you actually made me like the idea, lol… Originally I’m not too fond of the Doctor being just erased of the Daleks’ memory in an instant…
Oh it's a thing PURE BEAUTY. Doctor Who? There is so much erasing going on, it'll be very interesting to see where we go from here. It's a re-boot of a different kind... (All tying back to AGMGTW of course, and the meaning of the word 'Doctor' etc.)

LOVELY interpretation of symbolism.
That whole episode is just an enormous bundle of imagery, so much so that I'm sure there's plenty I've not caught yet. <3 <3 <3

THIS SO MUCH. XD
I LOVE IT!

-falls off chair- (no, no, my own!)
That’s just too perfect. Ultimately, that bit is possibly what convinced me most, along with the Ten/Amy parallel.

Incredible, isn't it? And considering that jacket!Doctor from the S5 Angel two-parter was deliberate and not just a continuity error, I refuse to believe that the chair was a coincidence.

Only tiny problem… The Doctor now got snogged by his granddaughter. Oh, whatever, he did both his parents-in-law after all ;)
Plus, Star Wars got away with it too... *crosses fingers and toes*

Thank you lots for you fabulous comment, and sorry I've been slow to respond. Life's busy...
