Ten searches high and low for something to be, some kind of self, some sort of definition (Rose's Love, Martha's Hero, Donna's Friend, The Timelord Victorious) but in the end can only be what he is: The Doctor ("It's my honour"). And so S5 and 6 is the story of trying to find his way back, step by difficult step, re-learning what makes him him.
