OMG Was that Jack's???? I always thought she just had one 'cause it was a 51st Century thing. :P IDEK it's been so long since I've seen the Library eps. BUT THIS WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME AT ALL. The Moff himself said so. She finds it in the TARDIS, and naturally decides to use it.
Eleven does seem to be good at it, yeah. It's like your other fic when they're all in Pete's world and he can't even look at TenToo. I AM SENSING THEMES HERE. But no, I can perfectly see this in Eleven and find it definitely in character. *nods* It is funny though, because in that other fic Eleven still had SO MANY ISSUES, and now they've all been resolved... Eleven now is feeling mildly protective towards Ten (because he's young and has so much to go through), whereas Eleven then was just... resentful, mostly. So here, what he avoids is the painful reminder of what he's lost (Rose), rather than worry about that time he went all Victorious. Compared to Demon's Run, Mars fades a little. (I don't mean that in a sort of derogatory way, but on Mars he just lost it. Demon's Run was very, very, very carefully planned, and he had to *own* that.)
Hahahaha yes! Ten is... more suspicious? I think he finds it hard to believe that the universe will give him any breaks (and indeed, he has this suspicion more than confirmed as time goes by.)
