Heh. I'm trying to work with both "lackwit" and, in extreme circumstances, "fuckwit." That allows me to call some one a complete moron, or suggest that their mental capabilities are less than they should be, without running afoul of hurting people who have loved ones who may have to deal with true cognitive challenges in their daily lives. The "k" sound, together with "wit" provides me most of the intense, visceral joy I get from other types of swearing, without the possible problems.
