(Off topic, but I love your new banner.) *beams* The whole episode turns around that very concept. It's perfect!
I plan on it, if I can find a new approach or figure out how to revamp the old one. (Because it's now one of many things I want to touch on, not the main thing.) Yeah, I know how you feel...
Yes, I did. :P And I agree-- it's not completely closed for that reason, but I don't think we'll revist the cracks. Not the cracks as such, but the reason behind them. And considering that we've spent a whole season dealing with 'who is River' (amongst other things), and we still don't know the answers to all the questions raised by the Library episodes, then I don't think anything can be considered a closed chapter. :)
(I like your thought it's Omega.) It's a nice catch-all, and easier than saying 'Mysterious Unknown Baddie'.
Good point! But I still disagree. For all Moffat's timey-wimey writing, the arcs are progressing in linear mode. It's River's story that's mostly out of order. So looping back to something like that… It just doesn't *feel* right to me-- I can't explain it more than that, I'm sorry. Hey, that's fine. But I still think that that one thing will loop back. Partly because it would allows Moffat to focus on the drama of the thing, rather than OMG END OF THE WORLD!
I'm always worried about being taken the wrong way-- arguing instead of debating-- in interpretations. And it is fun. *grins* Knowing Moffat, we both will be. But I'm looking forward to it all the same. I think I'll be right, but quite possibly in the wrong way! *g* And yeah, it's nice to be able to disagree - I tend to just tiptoe around stuff.
