I'm new here and actually new to the whole doctor who thing and I just wanted to say that I love your reviews. How much you think about these things and how you make me notice things I woukdn't have noticed otherwise. I also love how positive your reviews are. There's no bashing and that makes me so happy because I love this show even when I don't like what they do with some things..
Aw, thank you! ♥ I think one reason for my positive attitude is that I always want to understand stuff - if something makes sense (or I can make it make sense) then I'm happy. Plus, this is my hobby, my happy place. I can't see the point in just looking for stuff I dislike.

That's just perfect. Entire week I have been reading reviews about how it wasn't a real marriage, that it was just a trick, that Doctor wouldn't have married River in the real world. And that wasn't how I thought about it and now you have explained perfectly what happened. Not only did he marry her, he married her across all of time and space. I just have so much love her this.
It honestly came to me as I was writing, and everything just fell into place! Plus, it's been hinted since her first appearance that River was his wife. He calls her 'wife' in this episode, and she says "I'm his wife!" In The Big Bang he asks if she's married and she says 'Yes'. To argue that somehow they're not married strikes me as... well, a bit silly. They see it as a marriage, so that means it's valid. My insight is just... backup? ;)
