Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I'd love to debate the specifics with you but right now my head is spinning from information overload :)

That said, there's one thing I'd like to add that you might find interesting. :) I remember when Moffat was first taking over, and he mentioned how he wanted an older actor to play the Doctor, like back in the day... and then he turns around and casts Matt Smith, the youngest actor ever to play the Doctor.

Now, if he wanted to invoke the feel of the older doctors, why would he go and do that? Unless there was something about Matt that really... invoked the feel of one of the older Doctors regardless of his age.

Take a good, long look at Matt Smith.

Now take a look at that TWORS you have of him up there with longer hair and an aged face.

Now compare him to William Hartnell (http://thepreciousthing.tumblr.com/post/11128412301/matt-smith-really-is-the-doctor-you-guys).

Methinks you were right about Moffat trying to undo everything RTD did. More right than you think. ;D
