*is pleased* Arthur Darvil apparently suggested somewhere that people ought to watch the Library episodes again before the finale. People have been twisting together convoluted theories over it, but I hope it's all something to do with stories!
Esp. love the way you've described her as the Slayer who becomes a Watcher. Thank you : ) Got that out of that Dawn meta I liked: that after she'd lost her role as Key and Giles had disappeared, she made herself into the new Watcher. (Plus the show aligned Spike with Giles sometimes.) Interesting with how the Watchers were so aligned with patriarchy on the show, criticized as taking advantage of the Slayers. But what happens when someone who is themselves in a position dependent/inferior/offshoot to the Slayer makes themselves the Watcher? That's a much more interesting power dynamic--very circular.
