Surprise!Temp!Job made me almost forget about this, but I thought of something else - it's just a thought and you needn't actually respond, but I like it when I find a good analogy.

As I see it, absolute truth means there is only one story that can never be changed.
A better way of putting this is to say that God is the storyteller and we are all the stories. An atheist would say that there are only the stories we ourselves tell (an authorless world?), whereas someone who believed in God would say that we are all part of a bigger story, that we only know a small part of.

I have no idea if that is in any way helpful, but I'm searching for a way of expressing a fundamental difference. Anyway, sorry 'bout bothering you. :)
