Difficult choices! And yet...

He's up against Buffy! Which, you know, conflict of interest. I absolutely understand why you'd vote for her (or just abstain *g*). But she won last year!

If you want reasons to vote for Eleven, then [livejournal.com profile] flameish wrote some amazing meta on the character. It does contain major spoilers for everything aired so far though, so if you want a simple, short answer:

HE SAVED THE UNIVERSE BY BEING KIND!

And that's why he's my Doctor, and that's why he got my vote. (Even against Buffy. EVIL POLL IS EVIL!)

I'm honestly kind of hoping for epic Eleven/Sherlock showdown.
Whoever wins, Moffat becomes fandom king

I found it so hard to choose!

But yeah, I went with Eleven. Buffy's won before.

You know I have your fandom back. But over Buffy?? You ask too much! Now if it had been Ten...

I'm just glad Sherlock is leading Temperance Brennan. And Veronica Mars is ahead of Kurt from Glee!

I voted for Bones, despite having seen approximately 1.5 episodes of that show and enjoying Sherlock.

I'm not quite sure why. Possibly female solidarity. Possibly not quite getting exactly why everybody is so madly obsessed with something the length of a long movie.

Possibly just a need to rebel against the British. That happens sometimes.

I may go and find some tea to despoil.

Sorry, I had to go with Buffy. But I voted for Sherlock!

I voted for Eleven. I can't understand how this game works though. It seems to have got down to really small numbers from a huge number of people really quickly...

I really only enjoyed the first episode of Sherlock. The others didn't really grab my attention.

but seriously

you voted against a Moff creation?

I don't know the feelings I am feeling

I enjoyed the first and last pretty equally.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's really good. And the Moff quality is there, no doubt.

But at the same time it's a bit . . . flat? It is Moff so it's fast-paced and complicated and quippy and all that. And yet I think it's complicated on pretty much one level (compared to Who, which is complicated on, like, six). I feel like you can get more or less everything there is to get out of it in a couple of watches. The thematic/symbolic/allusions stuff is just not there.

Basically I very much enjoyed watching it, but I've got zero fannish impulses towards it. Except the vid about the coat. I love the vid about the coat.

I like Eleven. Really, he's grown on me. But he's not Ten!

[identity profile] ever-neutral.livejournal.com 2011-03-09 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
IS he though??

idk, I'm not sure I agree, actually. He doesn't seem detached enough to me to qualify. Unless I have missed some in-story statement of his diagnosed psychopathy??

(It occurs to me you might be speaking lightly, but I find it an interesting topic nonetheless.)

Yeah okay, I voted for Buffy for loyalty's sake, but I'll be happy either way.

This is a killer round, though. Just, from the get-go, with the comedy bracket, Sheldon Cooper vs. Troy Barnes WHYYYYYYYY.

Sorry, luv, still loyal to Buffy...but I picked Sherlock against Brennan!

BTW have you seen this?
