Ok, yeah, that has to be like the *greatest* coming out ever! Oh Andrew...he really is such a combination of sweetnes and "I wanna smack the hell out of him," isn't he? lol Which is why we love him! :) (I had way too much fun writing his speech, looking up gay comic book heroes and just letting him do his Andrew-y thing. *pets him*)
The stuff with him, Angel and Spike was so funny too... and poor Buffy. Poor Buffy indeed. They're not tame vampires...
I really liked that it was all from her point of view; that we were as much in the dark as she was. I don't know why, but it just worked for me. Oh good. Because it really has to be from her POV [for plot reasons]. :)
There was so much great hilarity in this chapter - Xander's reaction to Spike - awesome! Funnily enough that was where I originally stalled (after the rent boy comment) - and now suddenly the rest just came pretty much by itself!
And then Buffy's comment on Angel really being a 50's housewife was so funny and yet so very true when you think about it. Angel is a very neat person, and - although this is a good trait - I could see it being something annoying if you had to live with him.
At first it did seem a little out of character when Angel pinned Buffy in the kitchen and seduced her with guests a room or so away. But when he mentioned how seducing women and having sex is what he was originally good at it totally worked for me. Yay! I think we tend to think of him as very reticent, but a lot of that is just a facade.
I love seeing the influence the 3 have on each other and role reversals - it speaks to how their relationship is managing to work. :) That's it exactly! :)
(Even if that influence is having a quicky in the kitchen while guests are in the house. lol) I like to think that Spike's attitude rubs off on them both. ;)
