I think what you're going to be exploring here is the part of Spike and Angel Buffy can't touch and how much that freaks her out, right? Feeling left out of this thing between them? Also, there's a bit of selfishness, it seems, in her assuming she'll be at the center of this, and she'll have to come to terms with that?

That's the trajectory I'm estimating. Am I anywhere close to right?

Like I said: it definitely works for me, it just isn't a reaction to seeing them together that I've read before. Most writers just think she'd be majorly turned on, but actually, I think this is much more insightful.
