I hate being ill...
Not that I'm really ill, just... unwell. Darcy came home from work early yesterday feeling sick, and guess who felt the same this morning! *sigh* I very, very rarely get this stuff - I always carry on in excellent health looking after everyone! Anyway, Darcy was a wonder this morning! I got the children ready (more or less) including lunches etc. but then he took them to school/playgroup (which meant that he was late for work) and picked up Impish Girl at lunchtime! While I spent the entire morning in bed, asleep. ::loves husband::
Someone just delivered a largeish parcel - I wonder what he's bought this time?
Oh - and the marvelous s-i-l (that I'm sure I've mentioned before) is picking up Little Miss M from school! Which is especially wonderful since it's cold and raining. Thank God for family!
Feeling very lazy and lethargic - have done the absolute minimum of housework, just making sure that the floors are walkable on. Trying to remind myself, that I *have* done something recently: Finished my
summer_of_spike fic the other day (8000 words - why can't I do short? ::bangs head on desk::) which now only needs a lot of editing and finally - finally - finished Chapter 14 of 'Maybe Someday'. Which will need even more editing. But at least it's there.
Last night was rather enjoyable though. There was nothing on TV, so Darcy said: "Let's watch a Buffy episode. One where she's naked a lot!" Which isn't really that easy a brief. So instead we watched 'First Date' which has to be one of my all time favourite episodes ("A bidet of evil!" - so many wonderful lines) and then, because it wasn't all that late and Darcy was feeling generous what with being ill and all, we also watched LMPTM since it's the episode that ties up all the stuff brought up in 'First Date' re. Spike and Wood. If I wasn't feeling so bad I'd try to write something interesting, as it is I'll just re-state my love for S7! All the Spuffiness made my little shippy heart very happy!
Must go spend some time with Impish Girl - or at least attempt to. Hugs to all of you - sorry to fill up your flist with my whining.

And this is a dumb question, but isn't it summer where you live? What's with the crappy weather? ::is offended on your behalf::
PS Your whining filled up exactly one screen, and one line besides. Still well within the LJ legal limits for whines. Now come give me a hug.

But yay for getting your

A few strategically chosen Buffy episodes will surely help. ;)

It's very much summer and we've had loads and loads of beautiful sunshine - this is the worst weather for weeks. But the rain is good for the garden!
::squishes you tightly:: How come you always make things better? (Chooses icon v. carefully!)

And 'finished' is such a relative term... it still needs a lot of work! I'm a teensy bit worried since we might be going away on my posting date and I'll have to swap - but we're only in the planning stages so far, so hopefully I'll be able to persuade Darcy that the 8th of August is not a good day for traveling! ;)

I'm sure they will - although I'm tempted by 'Romeo+Juliet' which we haven't watched for ages.

Thought a viking icon might gladded your Faroese heart! Photo taken by my daughter on Sunday.

Remember, Spuffy will cure far more ills than aspirin. And it's so much prettier to look at.

And yes - the icon made me smile! :D

Hee - that almost sounds like a motto!

Looking forward to your post - I've read a good deal of criticism of LMPTM (much of it very valid!) but it didn't detract from my enjoyment at all! Which was nice! :)

I love your entries. :) I didn't see any of it as being at all whiny.

"A bidet of evil!" - and it is not just the words, it is the intonation that kills me. :)

Heh. Two new WIPs at the same time! Mmmmm.
Feeling a bit better now. Thank God for lovely husbands.

Really? Well, it's nice that my rambling isn't too bothersome. ;)

Just you try...

Oh, the intonation... I might have to re-watch it!
