Some links.
So, guess whose family has got t'flu? Yes, that would be mine.
Now guess who (so far at least) has an immune system made of teflon? Yes, that would be yours truly.
And we're off to Paris tomorrow...
The flu btw is nothing major. Bit of fever, sniffles, coughing, tiredness... right now the two older girls are watching The Tick ("ENUNCIATE!" God Lord, I love him), and the eldest was so bored this morning that she tidied her bedroom! I'm still trying to recover from that. *g*
But since I'll be vanishing soon, I bring you some CoE links. Spoilers of course:
kraken_wakes has some of the most interesting CoE meta I've read (make sure to check out the comments too): Children of Earth and Children (and parents) of Earth.
selenak wrote fabulous meta on the women of CoE. She also wrote fic: Consanguinitas. Summary: Five glimpses at Alice and her father. Perfect FitB!
peasant_ tackled some of the issues & fanreactions in a very thoughtful and intelligent post.
jackaholic has a review/reaction post that in so many ways echoes my own response.
antelope_writes has a very important insight into Jack on Day 5.
That's all for now, you can find more in my bookmarks.
Finally, I'll rec a Doctor Who vid that is very, very excellent: When I Ruled the World. Summary: This is Ten looking back on his time as the Ninth Doctor, realizing how much he's changed since then and wondering if it was all for the better.
