Hello there LJ world!

Afraid RL is still eating me, but I *am* managing to skim my flist, more or less...

ETA: Happy New Year everyone!!!!!

It has been a very Doctor Who Christmas, which is lovely. Being a Who fan continues to be a delight - Buffy and Angel were always very private things for me, but Doctor Who is just this great British institution... so there's going into Toys'R'Us and seeing a whole wall dedicated to Who toys, and huge, giant big card board cut-outs of my OTP presiding over the displays. :) And switching onto Jools Holland's Hootenanny at 11.30 and finding that he's interviewing my two TV boyfriends! *does the happy dance* Btw we saw the New Year in with Absinthe, since we belatedly realised that we didn't have anything bubbly. But it worked very well indeed!

Oh and you should all buy the Doctor Who Series 3 soundtrack! It's gorgeous and beautiful and amazing - I have barely listened to anything else this past week. ::hugs CD::

And since I seem to have found a bit of time (Darcy + kids + his friend C who's staying for a few days are playing 'Hotel'. So I am hiding and watching The Cherub), I'll do the 'my year in fic' thingy...

This was the year of threesome's huh? And comic!fic, Pern crossover and Doctor Who...

January:

I finished Because Cavemen Have Fire (S/B/A).

March:

My first 'proper' slash story: Phoenix (prequel to 'Cavemen')

I also *finally* finished my Spike/Dawn fic: The Tale of Spike's New Princess. (NC-17, flocked). I'm very proud of this fic - even though it took me two years to finish - esp for my unsouled Spike.

June:

Shanshued Spuffy schmoop is a guaranteed crowd pleaser! *g* A Picture is a Thousand Words... (or you know, a lot more.)

So is Shanshued Spuffel apparently... Shanshu Summer.

July

'Spike: Asylum' is a wonderful comic, and inspired me to write 4 little spin-off stories: Asylum ficlets.

This was also the month when I posted my first proper Doctor Who fic: Not The Last. [Part 1]. And from that tiny ficlet was a whole AU 'verse born...

September

I wrote [livejournal.com profile] lillianmorgan two birthday fics:

Going Fishing. ('Cast Away' ficlet. Yes, I know...)

Lost and Found. (Dru/surprise character. *perfect* pairing!)

I also wrote my Pern/BtVS crack!fic this month (OK, the last part was posted in October, but hey...) The Golden Boy. Because Angel was *made* to be a Bronze rider! :)

And then there was Something Old, Something New, a pre-prequel to 'Cavemen', and again pure Spangel.

October

Another Who fic: Mrs Saxon's Diary. I *will* finish this btw, I just need time...

Then there was The Girl in Question II. Very silly S8/AtS crossover fic!

And then of course I posted my AYW re-write, that included S/B/A porn (*so* awkward omg!): As You Were + One. (Unlocked on IJ here)

I also managed to finish writing up my Who fic and you can find it all here: Not The Last. If I could ask people to read just *one* thing, this would be it! I love it so very, very much!

Finally (this month was busy, huh?) I posted my [livejournal.com profile] seasonal_spuffy fic: I didn't know it'd feel like this. And it was baby!fic. *g*

December

Silliest ending for S8/AtF ever here! Very short.

And finally, my Christmas fic: A Christmas Carol for The Master. My 'verse is wonderfully versatile! A little Christmas miracle? No problem. :)

*****

Oh and inbetween all that I've written... *goes to check* just under 39000 words of 'Divided Destiny' (the ever-fabled sequel to 'Maybe Someday' that I'm going to be concentrating on from now on! *nods firmly*). Oh and I've also written 5600 words of the sequel to 'Not The Last', but I'm kinda pretending that I haven't. It just keeps eating my head...

And now I *have* to run. Hopefully I'm not going to get told off too badly...

omg, you have written fic to Asylum!!! I so have to read that immediately!

I'm glad you had such a nice holiday (and I wish there was so much Doctor who stuff available here...*longing sigh*)
Have a gorgeous new year!

I'm going to be concentrating on from now on! *nods firmly*

Yes, absolutely *eg*.

Happy New Year to you too. Absinthe sounds a fascinating way to see in the New Year. You didn't have strange green dreams did you?

*Blows hunting horn, urges pack of hounds in your direction.*

Happy new year. I think I've read everything you've listed, although one of these days I ought to get around to watching season 3 of Dr Who...

Heee! In case you're short of reading material, I also wrote meta"! (And Brian read it and was all overwhelmed... squee!)
Cool! I´ll definitely have to read it, when I have a quiet hour :)
Asylum is absolute favorite of the nonwhedon Buffyverse comics I read so far (and I can't wait for my Shadow Puppets to arrive...)

Although we're planning to swap bedrooms around at the end of the week and it'll be an *insane* amount of work!!!!
Good luck! And may it be less work than you presumed!

Although I'm sure you ought to be able to get hold of this somehow!
I put it on my shopping list for the next time I'm raiding amazon UK for Who stuff :).

Asylum kinda blew me away - the only other Buffy comic I'd ever seen was Spike vs Dracula that I disliked intently (artwork too ugly). And Shadow Puppets is *fabulous*! As fun and silly as Asylum is dark and angsty. And the meta-ness... Just wait! :)
Yup, Spike vs Dracula is the only Spike comic I did not buy yet, because of the artwork. I usually like Peter David's writing though. His Babylon 5 episodes are brilliant.
I just started to read the omnibus collection, it's neat to get them all in a few volumes.
(arg, and now I want Shadow Puppets even more...grumbl...stupid amazon, stupid town sans proper comic shop)

(sqeee to the pimp icon!)
