I envy you guys that have all these conventions happening around you. Oh I am miles from conventions too... and also have less-than-great finances and a lot of kids to think of. But I've been v. v. lucky that LM has visited me twice, and the_royal_anna once!
I'm stuff in a tiny town, and every single friend of mine thinks Buffy is mock-worthy. I have *one* RL friend who watches Buffy and Angel, but she's unaware of the fandom side of things, so it's kinda limited what we *can* talk about. She also likes Dr Who though, so we can squee together, which is wonderful. OH and I know another person who *adores* Dr Who as well, so that is nice. But yeah, thank goodness for the internet - 'cause I am just way, *way* too obsessive... (I added up all my fics, and the total word count was somewhere in the region of 200,000 words, which is like two novels. And if you add the meta to that... *is worried for self*)
