Owner of a broken beart
Netflix cancelled Dead Boy Detectives. This was not really a surprise, that's how Netflix works, but I am just devastated. I can't remember being this upset since Ianto died. (And hey, he got 3 seasons!)
If someone offered to cancel S3 of Good Omens & give me S2 of Dead Boy Detectives instead I'd take the offer without hesitation.
I think the thing is that it's so good (it's 8 episodes, and they are so tightly written, so clever & complex that they could teach most shows a thing or two), the characters are so compelling and rich, and the premise is just great and infinitely extendable - it's a show that could just run, the way Buffy did, for years and years.
Also, the main characters are two ghost boys who were murdered when they were 16. It feels like they have been killed all over again.
(sigh)
It's better to have loved and lost, and goodness knows there are terrible things happening in this world. But this just stole my heart and now it is broken.
Also, you should all watch it. Because it's aces.
