Fanfic appreciation

This is apparently fanfic appreciation week, so I'll start my week by praising spikewriter! I was cautiously dipping my toes in the fanfic waters when I came across her 'Watcher's Diaries: The Apocrypha' (Spike and Giles corresponding during S6) and it just completely blew me away. I then went on to devour everything she'd ever written! If by some bizarre fluke there is someone out there who hasn't heard of her, they should check out her site now: Missives From The Hellmouth.

(Not writing anything anything about Mother's Day etc. Just had an argument about fandom with Mr. Darcy and am feeling rather grumpy as a result. ::clings to LJ and fellow obsessives::)

Is it Mother's Day in England? BTW, is there a Children's Day there? I was surprised to hear Brasil has one, as we don't have one here in the States (and given our propensity to commercialize EVERYthing, I'm almost surprised we don't).
