Clara, who it took me forever to forgive (in very similar a fashion to the way I came to forgive Kennedy for replacing Tara),for something that was not the characters fault she replaced two characters who were as beloved to me as ever Sarah-Jane Smith, Zoe Heriot & Ace were. Peter Capaldi, who proved me very wrong. Vastra & Jenny. Jodie Whittaker first words as The Doctor; who became The Doctor faster than any Doctor I have ever witnessed; not only via that brilliant, "Brilliant!", but via that fall, with that music, and the way she inhabited a role so completely within seconds of her first words on the train. Yaz. Yaz and The Doctor. Ryan and his Nan. Grace and Graham (kudos to the actors for creating a character I loved and mourned and missed all within less than an hour; and for creating, for the first time (rather like Peter Capaldi) a character I liked. School Reunion. Captain Jack Harkness. Maisie Williams. The Woman Who Lived.
There are others, but these are those that, almost without thinking, and without appreciating how long a list it would be, truly stand out.
Oh, and that glorious thirteen episode story that was Season Five of the new show.
