Year 2 of Lockdown, Day 71
I feel like I should say something about the whole Dominic Cummings thing (BBC did live updates here: As it happened: Cummings says PM unfit for job), but somehow this tweet sums things up:

Daily Dimash 3: The Show Must Go On
At this point (2017) he didn't speak much English at all (afaik he knew how to 'Hello I'm Dimash and 'Good luck'), so he basically had to learn the song phonetically, meaning that is his pronunciation ain't that great. But he has had lessons since and has improved massively.
As far as I am aware Queen is one of his favourite bands, and he can certainly hold his own, singing a Freddie Mercury song.
But the fans (as fans do) then did a Freddie Mercury & Dimash Kudaibergen duet edition:
Which is just a fascinating blend... I wish Dimash would sing more Queen. Oh and I completely forgot to say, but apparently Brian May called Dimash to congratulate him after this performance!
ETA: I also found a reaction! And not just that, but it's this reactor's first experience of Dimash & he's a huge Queen fan:
The technical term for the dazed & stunned look on his face is 'Dimashified'. ;)
ETA2: OK, The Charismatic Voice has a reaction for this, which I had somehow not watched! She goes into all the technicalities. Her notes:
Two of the most technically proficient male singers of all time are Freddie Mercury (lead singer of Queen) and Dimash Kudaibergen. So when Dimash does a cover of a song Queen originally performed... you have to sit-up, and listen well.
Also note how his father is in the audience, so he obviously stayed for at least a week!
And there is some Behind the Scenes stuff where he is given knee pads from his fans, because they worry about him always throwing himself down like he does here. :)
