I'm not entirely sure a US publication has room to talk about The Swedish COVID-19 Response...considering the US's response to COVID kind of makes Sweden's look rather sane in comparison. I mean, the thing in the White House has decided to go for herd immunity - after Sweden and the UK realized it did not work.

Definitely a fair point, although I guess what they're trying to say isn't that the US botched herd immunity and Sweden got it right - it's something that can't be achieved without a vaccine, and Sweden is a proof of that. :(

The UK never really tried it, the politicians were just enamoured with it which is why we locked down too late... [in spring, although we are also locking down too late now.]

I guess it's just fascinating, because Sweden is usually terribly sensible.
