Lockdown Update Day 143

So, tonight we watched 'Vice' (hence the very very late post, it's a very long film).

It does a depressingly good job of showing exactly how we ended up where we are. But recommended nonetheless. Gorgeously made, brilliant performances etc.

ETA: There is a scene fairly early on, when Cheney has just started in the White House (as an aide to Rumsfeld, this is in the Nixon era), and Cheney asks Rumsfeld what they believe? Rumsfeld literally bursts out laughing and can't stop.

And then, because it's beautiful:

Australian Aboriginal artist Alma Nungurrayi Granites paints the great Warlpiri story of the Seven Sisters Dreaming, about the ancestral Napaljarri sisters who are found in the night sky in the star cluster known as the Pleiades (x):

We saw Vice at a screen unseen at our local cinema. We thought it was really interesting.

I love aboriginal art and this one is particularly stunning. I like it better than Starry Night!
