A new short story by Paul Cornell: The Shadow Passes
(Basically the Doctor & the fam being stuck in lockdown - not corona, not on Earth - and with lovely, lovely character stuff for Thirteen. ♥ ♥ ♥)
We'd like to give our own round of applause to Connie who at 106 is heading home from City Hospital having successfully beaten #Coronavirus.

She is our oldest patient to beat the virus - and may well be the oldest in the country to do so! #ClapForConniehttps://t.co/bKONIq4sTZ pic.twitter.com/zT28UPdT4A

On the meme front I really like this one, and I'm sure someone else will translate it anyway (or it's stolen from somewhere) but here goes my attempt:
If "Working from home" had achievements
DUCKBURG: Hold work meeting without pants
MARY BERRY: Sudden urge to try to bake
SANITARY PAD: Clean flat even if it's not needed
UNSANITARY PAD: Don't clean flat even if it's desperately needed
EXTREME LONE MAKEOVER: Try new hairdo/facial hair style
SMART ON INSTAGRAM: Take up puzzles or crosswords
EARL SANDWICH: Toast for breakfast, lunch and dinner
NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEY LOOK AT THIS: Start watching health spox press conference, immediately become distracted by something funny
SIRI, WHAT'S "ERGONOMICS"? Develop serious back and neck problems
#TEAMELASTIC: Forget what jeans feel like
1PM SOMEWHERE: Alcohol - it's not just for evenings anymore!

You're welcome. I saw it, read it, and ran straight to my post to add it! :)

Very nice! :D And great translation, except for 'sanitary pad' which is, well, something else. What is it they use to describe it 'feminine hygiene product' or something similarly wishy-washy. 'Disinfectant wipe' is probably better. (If you are wanting to post it to your DW.)

And well done, little girl. Little girls are better at getting stuff done than certain politicians we shall not be naming.

It's definitely used in an Angel episode.
Separated in time and space by a common language and all that, it gets confusing for us poor foreigners. :)
Not half! And scouring pads are a thing.

He has been drumming since the age of 8, and was semi-professional before becoming a weather man.

And yes. Very much so. A shame that they still need to fight...
