SNOW DAY! :D

Snowmageddon actually came true! Was sent home from work, schools are closed, and we have many biscuits, hot chocolate, and coal (the latter for the fireplace). Might head out with a sledge later on...



This probably looks like three snowflakes to people from Canada, but wahey, living in the UK has its upsides!

Considerably prettier than it's been since... summer. It's just been drab for months, this is a vast improvement. :)

I even have snow too! (Also in the NE, but by the sea in a valley, so it's extremely rare for it to stay. I could build a snowman with the snow in my yard, although it probably would take all the available snow...)

Yeah, a snowman would change the pretty scenery rather a lot... it's not very deep, but there's more than there has been for years. :D

I spent most of my life in warm, even hot, climates so I enjoy seeing snow, and seeing icy trees and snowy bushes is so pretty.

I grew up in the north, so it's quite hilarious to see a whole country grinding to a halt... On the other hand, snow day! :D

We finally got some proper snow too. About two feet in two days and 15 below. Yours is cute too, though. ;)

I managed to catch a picture of the snowfront as it moved in on Friday. For a few seconds I thought an entire mountain range had sprung up south of Stockholm.

Our garden looks like that. It’s fine on the main roads but lethal on my sideroads! I slipped and skidded all the way walking to the shops this morning even though it was really sunny! Lots of schools are closed.
