He did? These are the quotes I'm familiar with:

as per example the US version of Queer as Folk, which is arguably the best thing RTD ever created.
Huh. Interesting. Haven't seen either version, so can't comment.

We've had so many different versions of who has been running Humanity's history you can imagine committee meetings with everyone trying to discern what the hell The Silence are meaning with their enigmatic stares this time :-)
Indeed. Or as Moffat put it once:

"It is impossible for a show about a dimension-hopping time traveller to have a canon."
