No but the BBC and the writers are, and they are writing a show watched by kids. It matters.
There is a difficult line to walk. It's a fairly violent show. People die a lot. And it's important that this is never seen as a good thing. But OTOH the Doctor isn't a pacifist (the way some people try to claim), but he usually tries to understand the menace. Very few things (Daleks aside) are just 'evil'. And hey, look at him working with UNIT again! (Not this season, but before that.) Which has once more become a force for good, and not just military morons for him to yell at.

If you want a good military leader for kids to look up to, Kate Stewart is your woman!

Anyway, must dash, but here's to hoping tonight's episode works for all of us. :)
