Oh yeah, I remember that debate. The thing I was thinking about was actually shared on FB. A woman who obviously had to ask her boss for permission to use the toilet (which I find riduculous in itself) got her monthly visitor and asked to use the toilet, as there were machines with tampons. I did not quite get from the article whether they were for free or not. Anyway, apparently the boss hated those machines with all his might. And he called her lazy for wanting to go there and did not want to allow it. And she patiently explained that if she was not going, she would soak the new skirt and also the chair with her blood. And he was quite appaled and asking back if she really can't make it stop? Apparently he was under the impression that she can make it stop at will. Which, if true, really makes me wonder what they teach in schools over there? (sorry for the icky topic).
The other story on Tumblr where I was not sure how much to believe of it or not was of a woman who had studied for a doctorate for several years but the day when her exam was supposed to be she went into labour which was one week early. And she asked for the exam to put on a later date but was told if she does not do the exam there and then, she will not get a second chance and all the studying will have been for nothing. So all the men came to the room in the hospital, and all the nurses were shut out, and the woman did the exam for 2 hours, presenting her presentation. The girl who wrote the story claimed she knew her and there was also a picture to go with it. It sounds ridiculous in one way but on the other hand, would someone really make something like that up? Sadly, in the internet you can't believe anything anymore, it is so easy to fake even pictures or screenshots of tweets.
