"Oh totally. I still remember when S1 first came out, and it was so obviously 'LOOK LOOK WE CAN DO ~ADULT~ THINGS!!' *pets Torchwood*'

It was affairs, sex and blood. "Doesn't matter if it's necessary, just put it in cause we can" mentality. I still stuck with the show to see if it would improve.

"Not sure what you mean by 'defined'. Being confident is not the same as being tied to that one trait. (Amy was very confident, yes. She basically behaved more like a bloke, and fandom gave her hell for it.)"

I'm sorry. I wasn't implying that was all Amy had to offer. I'm just saying the female characters that Moffat creates are confident flirting and can use their sexuality as a form of negotiation.

Madame De Pompadour - Mistress (historical)

River Song - Hallucinogenic lipstick.

Tasha Lem - (Space nun)

Amy was objectified. Was it necessary for the camera to snake up her legs like that?. The Doctor calling her "Legs".

Eleventh Doctor referring to Clara: A mystery wrapped in an enigma squeezed into a skirt that's just a little bit too tight.

Clara's being address as pretty. Clara knew she was too. Then to show they wasn't going to be sexual tension between her and the Doctor when he regenerated into Twelve the writers have him make off handed comments on how he doesn't find her attractive.

I'm just comparing it to the Rusty era. I'm not disregarding their qualities as a person. I felt the emphasis on their physique or their sexuality was heighten.

"No, she was dating Mickey, living at home, working in a shop"

I thought she moved back in with her mother and that's when Jackie found a retail assistant job for "Rose". Sorry:(

Thanks for your help. I really need to do a computer course.:)
