Oh, I was a Ten-Rose 'shipper AND a Ten-Reinette 'shipper AND a Ten-Master 'shipper AND a Ten-River 'shipper. I think I did at least one fanfic story for each of those pairings.
That's the way to do it!!! (And I've written Ten/Rose - several times - and am rather fond of them. <3)

I loved Ten with Rose, but I had no problems whatsoever with him running off with Reinette for a few hours, especially since she was so awesome. I loved how she stood down the robots and said "WE are FRENCH" to rally the courage of her subjects. Her death at the end (and the Doctor's reaction to it) was just heartbreaking.
Mmmm, yes. Also the whole episode was a lovely complimentary story to School Reunion.

I really didn't get the dislike of the character--maybe it's just the whole "normal girl" viewers identifying with the "normal girl" character, and feeling threatened when a "pretty girl" character comes along and steals the guy away from the "normal girl" character? (If that's the case, maybe the viewers need more help than a TV show should be obliged to give them). ; )
LOL. (This is the funniest post ever on the subject!)

Incredible episode. This one and "Empty Child/ Doctor Dances" are what convinced me that Moff has some exceptional storytelling abilities. (How the hell he ever keeps everything straight in his head is beyond me).
He is magic.

Oddly, the only character I've shipped Eleven with is River. Whereas I could see Ten with any number of other characters, Eleven struck me as much more of a one-woman man, even if he did flirt sometimes. (I don't think the Doctor can ever NOT flirt).
*nods*

I wonder if the sponge lady does curtains, too? If so, she's welcome to help me decide what to put on my windows. : )
They'd probably be wiggly curtains...
