One of the reasons I love this country...

Not only is the fact that the new Doctor has a costume News, today the BBC gives us this:

Five interpretations of the new Doctor Who costume.

And the article has links to other reports (from Empire Magazine and the Guardian). :)

ETA: Owls has filming pics.

I think it makes him look as if he could be Spike's dad...

I'm surprised that nobody in that analysis picked up on the faint air of stage magic that someone mentioned last thread. Which is, of course, perfect symbolism for the Doctor: flash and style and a hint of darkness, all in the service of wonderment.

Thanks for those links! I'd seen the picture but hadn't had time to really think about it. Work is crazy town right now! Bleh!

I kind of like the look, but then my first doctor was Nine. ::misses Nine:: One article that I link-hopped to called the look "Skinhead". Not sure I can see that one! I'm from the Pacific Northwest. We have skinheads, and they generally don't have nearly that much hair! The only skinhead thing I see is the buttoned-up, tie-less white shirt.

But whatever is intended, I'm just anxious for some New Who!

Ah, see, I think of magic as a Seven thing. But you may very well be right.
