Because Saga

I realise that I'm 2 1/2 years late, but Darcy and I have just finished S1 of The Bridge (Broen/Bron), and I need someone out there to share my Saga Noren appreciation.

(Yes, we will delve into S2 on iPlayer catch-up asap. Plz don't spoil me.)

Mostly though - Saga. I remember articles at the time praising her, but was there flailing on LJ? In a world largely populated by stoic male heroes, and emotional female ones, the switch in The Bridge was particularly appreciated.

I thought and think her awesome. Hilarious too, especially when she is trying to "fit in". There's something of Anya about her - perhaps she is a descendant. She, too, is strangely literal.

I love the way she is not embarrassed when she doesn't get something. Or ever, for that matter, like changing clothes in front of workmates.

We are glued to the new season. You will be too, I'm certain.

Oh yes, very funny. But the show never laughs 'at' her - she just is what she is. And yes, there's something very Anya about her, I was trying to work out who she was reminding me of. Although an Anya with a mission.
