Bah, guess I'm not quite on all cylinders yet. Oddly, I thought of the Beast Below before Name of the Doctor, but not for Night or Day of the Doctor. How funny! The whole issue of identity and name being connected is brought up there, so it's one of my 'go-to' episodes. (Like how a gazillion things also link back to Amy's Choice. Some episodes are just pivotal in that way...)
I don't quite think he sees her in the literal sense. Just metaphorically. And when the War Doctor says "Bad Wolf" the image is refreshed, so to speak. And he did, in a roundabout way, listen to her. He did what she wanted him to do anyway. I might be reaching a bit. Hey, that's never a bad thing! :)
I look forward to it. Don't know if I'll have time before Christmas, although Christmas should give more insight into Clara. Who is... CLARA. So pivotal it's extraordinary.
I kind of illustrate them that way *because* you do. I see enough of it here and then it just starts to feel like the natural way *to* illustrate a thought. Really? Ooooh, I feel all clever now. :)
It changed twice, even. At least the "Name" one looked a little closer to the "Akhaten" one, but it was driving me batty. I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't have someone on set checking that kind of thing, but the longer they go without a payoff, the more I have to assume it was just a mistake. Then again, some people thought Eleven's disappearing/reappearing jacket was a mistake in the Angel two-parter... I just don't even know anymore. Not a mistake. The initial leaf was very different to the Akhaten one. And the latter was used in Name of the Doctor, when Eleven sent it to Clara to guide her back. But then in the trailer we were back to Leaf 1. (see icon.) I call SHENANIGANS!
I tend to craft theories by just drawing together a bunch of disparate elements and rearranging them into something not entirely inconceivable. I'm bound to hit the mark eventually. LOL. I go by the metaphors and underlying story layers. Like... I knew S5 had to end with a wedding because of that shot of Amy's wedding dress at the end of ep 1. I had no idea how, but that was the only outcome that made sense. I am more happy than I can express that so far I've always been right when trusting Moffat. For example then I think the Christmas regeneration will somehow be a reboot, a whole new start, so Capaldi is somehow the new 'One'. I have no idea how, but that's what feels right.
