Doctor Who finale.

Darcy: "You're pathetic"
Me: "Shut up!"

So I might have cried my eyes out... but damn it was well done. *sniff*

His first comment was actually "The script editor should be shot! Because it was the perfect dramatic ending, only it had no proper lead up at all. Season one had the Bad Wolf thing running through it, but S2 just sort of blundered along."

Can't say I really disagree much...

Still. *Perfect* ending.

Some quotes that seem to fit:

For The Doctor: "Let's go to work."

For Rose: "The hardest thing in this world is to live in it."

I'll have to re-watch it at some point and I *know* I'll cry again. Damn.

ETA: But I *loved* that the Daleks were way more dangerous than the Cybermen! :)

It really was the perfect ending. I'm definitely going to cry when I see it again. *sigh*

Hmmmm. All my Buffyfriends are posting about this. I have no clue what's going on, since I don't watch TV. But it sounds nice. Is Dr. Who like Buffy at all?

Luckily I didn't have the boyf around yesterday to laugh at me, and I was far more composed for the repeat today ... although I still sniffled

I enjoyed the season as a whole, but there were definitely a few dodgy bits ... I loved the Girl in the Fireplace, but I think I still have more favourite episodes from the previous season

Daleks are obviously more dangerous that the Cybermen ... especially as they can ~elevate~ (there's got to be a way to represent Dalek voice *g*)
gillo: (Dalek love)

We finally watched it last night - it's been tough avoiding spoilers all week. (We were in Paris and F tried to record it but it went wonky...)

Loved the flying squadrons of attack Daleks. Loved the face-offs between Daleks and Cybermen, and the contemptuous rejection of an alliance. Lots of fun stuff, and intriguing echoes of Pullman, Potter and others.
