who is Kodos?

Kodos is one of the space aliens on The Simpsons (picture here). The ohter one is called Kang. In one episode they killed the presidential candidates (of America), and stood in their place in the elections ("What are you going to do? It's a two party system. Hahahahahaha!"). And thus the world was enslaved...
