Wow! I totally never put together all the parallels with season 6--you're awesome. And the cross idea is beautiful.

This has some of the best acting in S1, I think--the scene with Buffy and her dad where her face manages to simultaneously convey "I can't believe I'm hearing this," and "Of course, I've thought this since you left."
