Warren Ellis has come choice complaints about the San Diego Comics Convention. Joss Whedon replies in the comments (via average-bear). For example: Who is this Ellis guy anyway? He thinks he all that cuz he wroted “Planety”.

ETA: Although... I know that whatever happens, when Darcy finally becomes a professional film maker (which is what he is amining for btw), he isn't going to hang out on the 'net getting into silly thread 'wars'. Being married to a snob has downsides sometimes...

At least I'll still have Joss to entertain me. ;)

Yeah, I think he's been bored lately. There was this, his Oscar thread, then some comments on Spangel, then some fanfic comments. I talked about some of it in my last entry too.

Hee! Sorry 'bout that. I think it's because I'd never heard the phrase before I watched "Thin Blue Line" and the constable had a terrible fondness for that saying. It's just always stuck in my head as a funny phrase.

I wasn't actually talking about Harry Potter - I was talking about hanging out on the internet being silly and having fun. Re. Harry Potter then the later books would give pre-teens nightmares for weeks. I guess they're appropriate for whatever age Harry is in the books. And maybe you're not a snob, but trying to diminish someone's enjoyment of something is not a very nice thing, no matter how good or bad the thing in question might be. Remember: Making me upset is not in your best interest!!!

It's nice that you want to use my (generally cash-strapped) friends to take an interest in your work, but linking to a place with our address and phone number might not be the most brilliant idea - especially since you're so paranoid about these things.
