That's pretty much *exactly* how I started out writing - only I was looking for a fic that had Riley turn up in AtS S5 (and wasn't slash because Spike and Riley would never!). But then I couldn't find any and a little plot bunny hopped along... and here I am! *g*

And I am also very much a character-driven person when I write. The only PWP I've ever written is turning into this looooong story! *headdesk*
