Easy to set up, and you can talk to anyone (who is also connected) for free! All you need to get is a microphone. :) (This is presuming you've got broadband, I think it might be awkward on dial-up...)

I'm saving the grading for later when my head is less foggy. Hmmmm. I'm going to revel in the phone calls from loved ones and then go to my boss's house (not the one that's frustrating me) where they are making burgers in which every element is homemade, down to the mayo and mustard and the buns.

And wasn't LM's fabulous? And amazingly well-tailored to me. Like woah.

Now I just need a dishwashing sequel. Heh.

When I was at uni, a lot of students had Skype connected to the university PCs and would sit into the late, late evening in the computer labs calling home. Ah, good times...not ;)

Well how could I *not* pimp? And re. our 'cheering up' conversation, I think yoou might have outdone me - a BNF saying your fic could end global warming etc. is quite something!

And we use Skype for calling my parents - which is rather expensive otherwise. :)

Yay to Skype! we are using it as well to call parents and friends. it has so many convenient features! (and maybe we could add each other to our Skype lists as well?)
