The opinon of my 8 year old:

BEST. EPISODE. EVER!

My 12 year old wants a John Hurt plushie because she wants to give him a hug, because he's ADORABLE.

Seriously though. ALL THE THINGS.

ETA:

I totally called it! :D :D :D

If I could start again/A million miles away/I would keep myself/I would find a way

Or, as Promethia just said:

'This show is like the reverse Breaking Bad. (She said, never having actually seen Breaking Bad.) It's Breaking Good.'

Also, watching it in the cinema was awesome. Impish Girl (12) was dressed as Eleven, and the Cherub (8) as Amelia. <3

I was going to write so much, and post so many things. And I've not had the time. However, this says... pretty much everything:

(From the Confidential to S6.06, The Almost People. Also explains why I trust the Moff.)

ETA: Spoilers for An Adventure in Space and Time in the comments!!!!

My keyboard recovered! (With a fan heater & a radiator's help.) So hello again. :)

Will - at some point - hopefully be able to articulate coherent thoughts about Night of the Doctor. Give me time. (Oh and I loved the little CiN sneak-peek from Day of the Doctor!)

Still need to watch The Science of Doctor Who, as I missed it last night. Although handily the BBC have now actually provided a guide for all the programmes that will be on over the next week (click image):

Second trailer!

SO MUCH GOODNESS!

ETA: SFX Steven Moffat interview. (Speaking exclusively to SFX, Steven Moffat tells us a little more about the Time Lord’s most mysterious incarnation, soon to be seen in 50th anniversary tale “The Day Of The Doctor”)

Especially love this:

"The folk memory of Hartnell is he’s a cranky old man, but when you watch him he plays the Doctor as a stroppy child. Very twinkly and he’s not crotchety, he’s sulky, the way that an infant would be. Ian and Barbara are sort of his parents, indulging him to go and behave himself a bit better. The Doctors are always like that. He’s either an extraordinarily youthful old man or an extraordinarily old young man. He’s always both."

I just booked tickets to see The Day of the Doctor at my local cinema! I feel somewhere between these two gifs:

(A few weeks ago when tickets were first released I checked, but there was nothing locally... AND NOW THERE IS AND I AM GOING! Along with Impish Girl & the Cherub. Miss M is a heathen and has already committed herself to a completely different [all-day] event, and Darcy is being kind and not going, as he'd only bitch about it.)
