, this, for some reason. You can sort of imagine the Captain reciting it in his head,
multum ille et terris iactatus et alto
vi superum, saevae memorem Iunonis ob iram,
multa quoque et bello passus, dum conderet urbem
much buffeted on sea and land by violence from above, through cruel Juno’s unforgiving wrath, and much enduring in war also, till he should build a city…
Or, of course, he could have been brutish from the beginning. But weird to see the Captain
he did all the things wrong we know that later he did.
Also not quite sure about the goddess bit. But then we still don’t know what Caan was talking about either.
Bloody Daleks. Bloody Time Lords. War-mongering fiends the lot of them
