Bake Off

Great British Bake Off review – right where I want to be when the bombs start falling
Bake Off has survived the move from BBC oven to Channel 4 table, and it’s still showcasing the best of humanity. The world is on fire: this is what we all need

This, basically.

Can I confess that when I read this, I ran straight off to my favorite dark corner of the interwebz and am planning on curling up with the episode, since we won't get it until next summer at the earliest over here?

I was re-watching the Season 5 finale last night and it really is all about being lovely. The show's been more of a help to getting me through than perhaps I realized.

Now, if someone would just pick up the rights to the rest of the seasons in the US, all would be wonderful.

(And no, I don't want to see the Pillsbury Bake-Off on Food Network. It's just not the same.)

Me too - I think that sums it up perfectly.
